CONCLUSION & APPRECIATION

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamualaikum and good day to all readers. :)

All the praises be to Allah, gratefully, our RUS104 Integrated Studio course had successfully come to the end.

First of all I would like to say thank you very much to all the studio masters especially Dr Mazran, Sr Dr Md Azree, Prof Mastura and her assistant; Ms Amelia and all the lecturers whom had been with us throughout this hectic semester. All of the knowledge and guidance given are highly appreciated and I will surely remember and practice them in the future starting from today onward.

Studio life is not a new thing for me as I had been in it since September 2009 when I took the course of Advance Subsidiary Level (AS) Art & Design in International Education College, Shah Alam. However, there are no doubt that the work loads in the School of HBP and the projects which came one after another had given me pressure both positive and negative. The very busy life style most of the time had really made me forget about the outer world (except for the school, lectures, friends and projects) and the day and night.

RUS104 Integrated Studio had taught me many new things as well as giving me thousands of memorable experience. The first four projects and other few tasks were quite easy for me. I just needed to brush up and refresh the skills and knowledge which I had already have. The next project which was more to regional planning's skill had given me new inputs. I had learnt to view a built environment in a larger scale and I had enjoyed learning it. Even though I am studying for a Quantity Surveying degree, those knowledge about site analysis (all the inventories and context) are crucial to be owned by a professional in housing, building and planning industry. In the future, I will be one of the professional person, in shaa Allah. The USM Amphitheater Stage Design project had integrated the students from all majors in groups of 15 to 16 people. Based on my previous personal experience, in one point of view, it's quite sad to say that I had been in a not-so-good-group and I felt quite displeasure throughout the project. However, I am sure that my group mates had done their very best they were able to for the projects. At the mean time,  I  had improved my communication skills and gave my best help to the group. It was not something to be regretted and not an error whenever my group mates unable to understand/accept/apply to the same degree as I may (as I was an ex-architecture student). I believe that everybody is learning and are in their learning process. Despite of all the obstacles and conflicts arose during the time period, alhamdulillah, we had completely manage to solve all the problems and completed the project together. All the ups and downs in the semester throughout all the projects were paid off when the QS group won something in the memorable event (the Performance & Awards Night).

As a whole, apart from the knowledge, RUS104 had really integrated all seven courses students to live and work together, understand each other present and future life, while the whole semester course had delivered a lot of fundamental knowledge and skills needed in the built environment. In fact, they had taught me a lot of values in life.

Once again I would like to thank my mom and dad, all the lecturers, family, friends and seniors for every single thing given directly and indirectly. May all the good things blossomed and bloomed in our life, the positive things are keep up while the negatives improved.

Thank you. :)
